Lower Merion Liberty took part in the first ever 3v3 league at iceworks, securing the second seed to go into the playoffs with a 4-2-1 record. The team defeated the Little Flyers in the semi-final 6-1 to secure their spot in the championship against the undefeated Kingsway.

The girls played a stellar team game, taking an early 1-0 lead off a quick Thea Moore snipe after rushing up from defense but Kingsway tied it back up quickly. As the period winded down Willa Moore rushed the puck up the ice and curled into the offensive zone for a stretch pass to Caroline Conybear backdoor, but Conybear one touch passed it back to Gab Gesacion who managed to beat the goalie on a perfectly placed far post shot to take the 2-1 lead for the eventual game winning goal.

The second period remained scoreless but was full of action as Liberty goaltender Jordan played strong in net keeping Kingsway off the board. The action caused their helmet chin strap to explode into pieces which could not be fixed at the bench, resulting in being forced to wear a player helmet for the last 6 minutes of the second period while it was fixed in the pro shop.

With about 9 minutes in the 3rd remaining, a delayed penalty gave the Liberty team a chance to pull their goalie for the extra attacker. Kerry Hunt, Carmen Green and Ella Miller possessed the puck as Willa Moore jumped on for the extra attacker and the team cycled the puck around til it found Hunt in the high slot who sniped home the 3rd goal for the Liberty team. Hunt would add one more goal to secure the 4-1 win as the team worked together to play strong defensively as a team for the remaining minutes.
