Lower Merion School Club Teams

We are excited that you want to join our club this year. The regular season runs September to February with playoffs beginning in March.

In addition to club tuition, each player is responsible to register with USA Hockey, provide their own equipment and purchase team home and away game jersey and socks.

Our High School teams are members of the Inter County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL). Due to league policy, players MUST attend Harriton or Lower Merion or an approved charter or cyber charter school of the school district. Our Board is willing to request for exceptions but the league Executive Committee makes the final decision.

The Club offers Harriton and Lower Merion Co-Ed Varsity and Liberty Girls Harriton/Lower Merion combined Varsity teams.

Each year, we attempt to provide a High School JV team for each school. For the 2024-2025 School Year, Lower Merion JV will be co-op'd with Strath Haven and Harriton JV will be co-op'd with Rustin. Our Liberty (Girls) JV will be an independent team that instead of participating in the league, they will have a non-league schedule.

Our Middle School Teams participate in the IceLine Middle School Hockey League played at IceLine (West Chester), Ice Works (Aston) and The Campus (Downingtown). Our teams are comprised of students from public, private and parochial schools who live in Lower Merion Township. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to play.

The Middle School Varsity (No Practice/Invite Only) is geared towards travel club hockey AAA, AA or high A players because of their club practice and game schedule. Tuition includes team league fees. If you are interested in an invite, please email the club.

The Middle School JV team practices Saturday afternoons at Springfield Ice Rink from September to February. Tuition includes: (1) Weekly practice, a full season league schedule.

The Elementary School Varsity (No Practice) team is comprised of students from public, private and parochial schools who live in Lower Merion Township. Students in grades K-4 are eligible to play on our Elementary teams and must play at the AAA, AA or high A travel hockey level.

The team participates in the DELCO School Hockey League (DSHL) played at the IceWorks facility in Aston, PA. 

Tuition includes team league fees.

The Elementary Development (JV) team is a great Learn to Skate/Learn to Play program. With weekly Saturday afternoon practices at Springfield Ice Rink, players will quickly sharpen their skating and puck skills while learning the game. Towards the end of the fall, the team will begin to participate in games. The overall goal is to help your player develop so they can continue to participate at a competitive level in future school years!

Tuition includes weekly practices and a handful of games starting in the late fall.

How do I get my game apparel?

In July, the club will send an email with instructions on how to secure your player number and purchase your game apparel.

If you are joining the club after July, we will connect you with our vendor directly.

How do I get my USA Hockey membership?

You will be directed to the USA Hockey membership page during the registration process. Note: If you have already secured a USA Hockey membership for the season, you can use that number for Lower Merion. Do not register again with USA Hockey.

Why are you asking me for my player's proof of age and citizenship?

As a member of USA Hockey, we are required to provide this to USA Hockey for rostering. All first time players are required to do this and from time to time, USA Hockey asks that returning players provide this information.
